6 Super quick ways to bring Spring into your home.

So if you read our last post you’ll by now have sorted out all your clutter, had a fabulous spring clean and be feeling the freshness of spring all around your home.

If you’ve got this done then congratulations. Now’s the time to relax and enjoy the warmer weather and longer days. Here are 6 ways to bring spring into your home

Here's 6 Super quick ways to bring Spring into your home

1. Move the Furniture

In winter we want to be cosy around the fire place or snuggle up watching films. In spring it’s time to welcome the outdoors. If your lounge has access to the garden change the focus of the furniture to give easier access to the outdoors as well as a better view of windows to the outside world.

2. Open up the Conservatory

Spring and Autumn are best times to make use of the conservatory. It may be a glorious day but just a bit too cold to be completely alfresco. Freshen up the conservatory with plants and new accessories such as cushions and prints. If you have room, create a dining or workspace in your conservatory to make the most of brighter days.

3. Change the bedding

Time to put the heavy winter duvet away and bring out lighter bedding. Is it also time to treat yourself to a new duvet cover or throw? Textiles such as bedding and curtains bring colour and pattern into a room. They are integral in deciding colour schemes. New bedding is a super quick update which really makes an impact in a room.

4. Change the cushions

Spring is good time to replace tired old cushions and bring some fresher colour and pattern into a room. Cushions are also an inexpensive way to bring your home up to date with new trends in colour, pattern and print without having to re-decorate.

5. What’s on the coffee table?

When was the last time you noticed what was on your coffee table? Freshen up with some new books, magazines or ornaments. Treat yourself to some new ones or simply look around the house and do some re-organising. Take a look at what is on the mantelpiece or shelves around the house. Take everything down and start playing with new arrangements in different places around the house. In next to no time you’ll have a new look room as you see your favourite things in a completely new light.

6. Bring fresh flowers into your home

You can’t beat fresh flowers for bringing the outdoors in. Spring is a time to celebrate the bright colours of new life. There will still be a few rainy day and these are when seasonal flowers such as daffodils, tulips, peonies with fill the house with colour and fragrance. If your prefer more muted colours try orchids which, although more expensive to buy, are a great investment as they flower over a longer period. If you are lucky enough to have blossoming trees in your garden, bringing in a few branches of blossom creates an elegant display.
