Patterned Tiles

Alongside a trend for mixed materials patterned tiles have been appearing in bathroom trends for wall and floor tiling across both modern and traditional bathroom styles.

It’s no longer a standard to seamlessly match from surface to surface. From traditional encaustic designs to more modern geometric patterns we see patterned tiles adding visual interest to sleek all white and grey bathrooms.

Mixed metallics

Gone is the standard colour choice of chrome for taps, showers, lighting and accessories such as mirrors. Metallics appeared across the home throughout 2017 so it makes sense to continue the trend in the bathroom.

There’s now a wider range of choices such as brass, copper, rose gold and even black. At this point you may be thinking in horror of the gold taps in your grandparents home. However consider instead stylish single lever taps in brass to add a warm accent to grey or monochrome bathroom schemes.

Monochrome

Black and white is a truly timeless style which can be incorporated in so many ways. Some are already on the list such as patterned tiles or black taps. Black bathroom cabinets look great with the soft monochrome tones of carrera marble, which has also become popular again.

Monochrome Bathroom

Crittal windows are making a comeback in architectural designs and the style is following through into walk in showers. Black framed showers in addition to radiators are a stylish addition to a bathroom.

Colour

White is no longer a primary colour for bathrooms. Colour can be added from cabinets, tiles or even wall paper. The trend for dark decor is edging into bathrooms and goes well with traditional styles such as victorian where dark colours were originally popular.

Roll top baths can also be specified in a range of colours to create a truly unique room.

The Spa Bathroom

Deep soaking tubs, steam rooms and power showers create zen like bathrooms for the ultimate relaxing experience. Technology plays a hand in creating these rooms.

Zoned mood lighting for example as well the ability to stream music into the room for a calm ambience. Choose multi-function shower heads with rain and waterfall settings pamper your body. Add to this the natural tones of wood in your bathroom design in addition to plants and greenery to help you feel grounded with nature.
