We're always pleased to share our latest projects with you so you can catch up with what Gina and the rest of the team have been up to lately.
This week I'm sharing one of our recently completed projects which although small was no less challenging.
The property is a new build apartment in Buckinghamshire. Our client is a young busy professional who wanted his apartment to have a contemporary design with a city life vibe.
The scope of the project was the full design and furnishing of his new apartment. This included the open plan kitchen diner and living room with balcony as well as the apartment's one bedroom and bathroom.
The starting point was a shared Houzz idea book. Gina says, "From Vinnie's inspirational images it was clear he wanted warm neutrals and some nice warm lighting but in a contemporary, modern design."
The time scale and small budget were the biggest challenges of this project, with only 2 weeks and a few thousand to complete the project whilst the client lived elsewhere. This meant the team organising all deliveries to arrive swiftly and at the same time as well as managing the team itself with so little prep time.
With such a quick turnaround and budget which focused on essentials, Ikea was one of the main stores for sourcing furniture and accessories. It's a favorite of the clients stores and was close to location.
With no wait time for furniture deliveries they could easily turnaround the project in the tight timescale.
The finished apartment delivers the clean and contemporary lines the client requested to suit his busy professional lifestyle. Light bright rooms with a neutral colour scheme and classic accessories.
Lighting is a really important part of bringing everything together. Gina says, "I liked the lighting layers used with in this project. All the lighting pieces are really lovely and give some warm layered lighting effects, perfect for an evening's entertaining or relaxing."
So there you have it, a whole interior design project from concept to completion in just 2 weeks. Gina and the team were rushed off their feet but ultimately the comments from our client's glowing testimonial say it all.
